Our story
VIVAcroyoga started in 2015 as a one-day gathering at Parc Lafontaine, with 10 short classes that drew people from Ottawa, Quebec City, and Burlington. By 2018, VIVA had grown into a ticketed event at an indoor venue, reflecting the community’s enthusiasm.
VIVA feels special because the Montreal community is unique. Born from Jessie Goldberg and Eugene Poku’s Acroyoga Montreal style, it’s a place of creativity and connection, where acroyogis support each other’s growth and form lasting friendships.
Each year, we aim to improve. In 2023, we moved to the Conservatoire d’Art Dramatique et Musique, added AcroChats, and partnered with groups like the Indigenous Network of Montreal and BACCES to support BIPOC practitioners. We’re committed to inclusivity, deep values, and cultural representation, with Gino Lebeau’s Québécois heritage adding to our shared joy.
Whether it’s your first year or you’ve been with us from the beginning, WELCOME TO VIVA!
